Wigtown Festival Company in association with Book Week Scotland is hosting an evening of conversation between book clubs, creative writing groups, local writers, readers and audiences to talk about What Holds Us Back?
What challenges do we face as readers and writers? Are we readers who want to be writers, but lack the courage or wherewithal? Are book clubs scary and elitist? How can we debunk the myth that writing is only for writers, and reading is only for ‘educated people’ (whatever that means!)?
Join us for an informal blether with a promise of light refreshments! Facilitated by local poet and Open Book Lead Reader Em Strang.
Wednesday 20 November, 18:30-20:00 at The Print Room, 8 New Road, Wigtown.
