An exhibition of photographic etchings, prints, pamphlets and film incorporating 20 poems about the Buchanites, a Utopian cult of the 18th century led by a charismatic and brilliant woman, Elspeth Buchan.
The exhibition is the brainchild of local poet Hugh McMillan and artist Robert Campbell Henderson, and will be on show at The Stove, 100 High Street, Dumfries from 11th-23rd November.
Join them at The Stove for an exhibition launch event on 13th November from 7pm. Entry is free. There’ll be mummification, free love, and the end of the world… and wine!
