Call for short poem submissions for BIG LIT: The Stewarty Book Festival, 1st-5th May, a five-day lit fest in Gatehouse of Fleet, Dumfries & Galloway, SW Scotland.
BIG LIT: The Stewartry Book Festival is looking for short poems of any kind (published or unpublished) to be displayed in High Street windows over the BIG LIT Festival.
Please send in plain text, 12 point (if it’s in special formatting, send as a pdf) with your name at the bottom, and any acknowledgements for published ones. Poems should fit onto one side of A4.
Please submit as soon as possible, and no later than 1st April.
The poems made the High Street look wonderful last year, are often left up long after the event and attract punters to the festival. Some of last year’s poems are still on display.
Please send submissions to Chik Duncan at biglit@swet.co.uk, copying in Chrys Salt at chrys@chryssalt.com.
An anthology of the best poems from this and previous years is also under consideration, so please indicate your permission to publish, should your poem be selected.
